Tommy V LIVE has spent nearly a decade making sure the Capital District never goes too long without Dio, AC/DC, and Ozzy Osbourne sharing a room. On Saturday, November 14, the band returns to Frog Alley Brewing in downtown Schenectady, a venue they’ve made into a reliable stop, for an evening that opens at 5 p.m. and runs through 10.
About the Show
The Glenville-based four-piece has been delivering 80s hard rock and heavy metal since January 2017, and their regional footprint covers considerably more ground than a single home bar: they’ve played Rivers Casino Schenectady, Sherman’s Park in Caroga Lake, and the Caroga Arts Collective. Tommy Verrigni handles lead vocals (a 2023 RadioRadioX feature singled out his high-energy stage presence), Ed Knight plays guitar with what that same profile described as intricate solo work, John Dodge holds down bass, and Eric Elmore anchors the operation from a raised drum riser. The catalog maps the loudest parts of two decades: Dio, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice in Chains, Whitesnake. The RadioRadioX piece followed the band over several years and credited their “consistent ability to deliver compelling performances” and the “authentic brotherhood” among members for carrying them from smaller club dates into rooms like Frog Alley.
Opening at 5 p.m. is Chuck Ayers, a singer-songwriter who covers five decades of music across all genres, building out familiar songs with live loops and backing tracks. His site describes the setup as “solid vocals and an extensive selection of music” in an environment built to keep energy positive and audiences engaged. His own shorthand: “Frets, Fun, Friends.” Ayers holds residencies across the Albany and Saratoga area, and Frog Alley is a consistent stop on his schedule.
Venue & Logistics
Frog Alley Brewing is at 108 State Street in downtown Schenectady, a regular live music stop in the Capital Region. The venue has hosted Tommy V LIVE before — an April 2026 booking followed the same format, with Chuck Ayers in the early slot and Tommy V LIVE stepping up at 8:30. One detail worth noting before you head out: the venue enforces a 21-plus age restriction for entry after 7 p.m. Chuck Ayers goes on at 5, Tommy V LIVE at 8:30 p.m., running through 10.
