Penn’s Peak sits on a mountaintop above Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, with a 50-mile panoramic view that hits you the moment you walk through the door. On Thursday, July 23, British singer-songwriter Harriet brings her Trying to Get the Feeling Again show to this 1,800-capacity room — high ceilings, rustic interior, spacious dance floor — and the match makes immediate sense.
About Harriet
If you have not heard of Harriet yet: she is a London-based vocalist whose voice gets compared to Karen Carpenter so consistently that even Paul Williams — who wrote many of The Carpenters’ biggest songs — told her directly, “You have a remarkable gift.” A reviewer covering her spring 2026 US dates called her voice “an uncanny, dead-on version of Ms. Carpenter’s long-silenced voice.” That is not hype. That is what she actually sounds like.
Her 2024 album Trying to Get the Feeling Again gathers 16 tracks — classic 1970s covers plus two originals, all recorded live-in-the-room at a London studio to mirror how those records were originally made. One of those originals, “Mountain,” was co-written with John Bettis, the lyricist behind many of The Carpenters’ biggest songs — a collaboration that closes a kind of circle. The live show leans fully into the era: mid-1970s living room aesthetic, a guitarist and keyboard player backing her, and a setlist that pulls from The Carpenters, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, Barry Manilow, and Christopher Cross.
Her February 2026 US run sold out across multiple consecutive nights. The Penn’s Peak date is mid-tour on a three-night Northeast leg — Hanover, PA on July 22, Jim Thorpe on July 23, Del Lago Resort in Waterloo, NY on July 24.
