High Vis at Rec Room | November 12, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · September 13, 2026

High Vis has spent the fall of 2026 in support on Basement’s North American tour, working rooms like Chicago’s House of Blues, Detroit’s Royal Oak Music Theatre, and the Roadrunner in Boston. The Buffalo date — Thursday, November 12 at Rec Room — belongs to High Vis alone, wedged between the Detroit Basement stop on November 8 and the Boston leg on November 13. That distinction matters: this is a headlining show, not a support slot, and one that arrives at an interesting moment in the band’s trajectory.

About the Show

The London five-piece formed in 2016 from members of UK acts including Dirty Money, Tremors, City Dweller, Reflect, and Shame. Singer Graham Sayle, drummer Edward “Ski” Harper, bassist Jack Muncaster, and guitarists Martin Macnamara and Rob Hammaren have spent nearly a decade evolving a sound that Sayle describes as “post-industrial Britain misery punk”: English street punk run through Madchester grooves, neo-psychedelia, and wiry post-punk rhythms, the proportions shifting from record to record. Sayle has noted the broader evolution directly: “For years hardcore had pretty clear boundaries — other scenes were separate worlds. Now things are getting more blended.” Their 2024 full-length Guided Tour, recorded at Holy Mountain Studios in London with producer Jonah Falco and released on Dais Records, is where that blending becomes most anthemic — described by those around the band as “anthems for a new England.” Louder Than War characterized the album’s arc as moving “forwards, through shit, and success.” Sayle’s own framing is two-sided: “It’s trying to be a hopeful record, while also being incensed.” The recent singles give you the range: “Drop Me Out” rides punk guitars over 90s indie riffage; “Mind’s A Lie” leans into house-inflected electronica via a collaboration with South London artist Ell Murphy. Special guests open.
