Jordan Davis arrives at Turning Stone Event Center in Verona on October 24 as something the country radio landscape doesn’t produce often enough: a songwriter-first act who has managed to accumulate eight career No. 1 singles without sanding down his edges. The Louisiana native’s trajectory — from an Environmental Science degree at LSU to a signing with MCA Nashville to a catalog that has cleared 8.4 billion career streams — is the kind of slow-burn rise that tends to produce durable live performers rather than one-cycle wonders.
About Jordan Davis
Davis grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he has said the blues and soul music of the region worked its way into his blood early. The musical lineage runs in the family: his uncle wrote hits for Tracy Lawrence, and his brother Jacob is a recording artist as well. Davis earned his LSU degree in Environmental Science before making the move to Nashville, where MCA Nashville signed him in 2016. His debut album, Home State, went platinum on the strength of “Singles You Up” (4X Platinum). His sophomore record, Bluebird Days, delivered four consecutive No. 1 singles — including “Buy Dirt” (5X Platinum, featuring Luke Bryan) and “Next Thing You Know” (3X Platinum) — and earned him two Song of the Year honors from the same album cycle, a genuinely unusual achievement in a format not known for recognizing the same artist twice.
His third album, Learn the Hard Way, arrived in August 2025 via MCA Nashville. Produced by Paul DiGiovanni, it splits the difference between the introspective lean of Bluebird Days and the poppier instincts of his debut, yielding a fuller picture of what Davis is capable of across the range. The record delivered his eighth career No. 1 in “I Ain’t Sayin'” and carries a current Top 10 single in “Bar None,” with notable collaborations alongside Marcus King and Carly Pearce. Billboard has called him a “modern-day storyteller”; the BBC places him among “the leading talents in a new wave of American country music.” Both descriptions are accurate. Neither quite captures what makes him interesting in a room.
Turning Stone Event Center
The Event Center at Turning Stone Resort Casino has earned its place as one of central New York’s most reliable stops for country touring acts at this tier. At 5,000 capacity, it sits in a useful middle ground — large enough to host a full production, intimate enough that the performance doesn’t evaporate into arena distance. The resort is located at 5218 Patrick Road in Verona; more information on the venue and upcoming events can be found at turningstone.com. No supporting act has been announced for this date as of press time.
