Mike DelGuidice at Penn’s Peak | June 19, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · April 8, 2026

If you have been to Penn’s Peak before, you already know why this show is worth the drive. The mountaintop venue in Jim Thorpe pulls off something most rooms do not — it feels like a destination before the first note even hits. Mike DelGuidice is a return engagement here, and if the crowd shows up the way it did last time, Friday, June 19 is going to be one of those nights you tell people about.

About Mike DelGuidice

DelGuidice is a Long Island musician with a resume that tends to stop people mid-sentence. He has been a member of Billy Joel’s touring band since 2013 — joining at Joel’s personal invitation after Joel attended a Big Shot rehearsal at the Paramount Theater in Huntington and came away convinced. Before that, he was an original cast member of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Movin’ Out and performed with the all-star horn section at Billy Joel’s “Last Play at Shea” stadium concerts.

He has shared stages with Bruce Springsteen, Sting, and Tony Bennett, spent a decade touring globally with Joel through his Madison Square Garden residency, and composed the theme song for the Kevin James sitcom Kevin Can Wait. He also leads Big Shot — the only authorized Billy Joel tribute band in the world, built from actual Joel touring alumni. This is a musician who has lived inside classic rock at the highest level for years.

His solo show covers major classic rock across the spectrum, plus a few originals from albums like My Street and Miller Place. Expect a room that knows exactly what it came for.

About the Venue

Penn’s Peak is a 1,800-capacity mountaintop venue at 325 Maury Road in Jim Thorpe, PA. The room features a spacious dance floor, lofty ceilings, and a full-service restaurant and bar called Roadies. Doors open at 6:00 PM — two hours before showtime, which is exactly enough time to grab a table at Roadies and settle in before the lights go down. Do not skip that part.

Jim Thorpe is a scenic Pocono Mountains town that earns a longer trip on its own, especially on a summer Friday. The Pocono Mountains region is a straightforward drive from most of upstate and the kind of place that makes an overnight feel justified.
