Empire Live sits right in the middle of downtown Albany — 93 North Pearl Street, standing room, 1,000 people, and The Hollow Bar + Kitchen literally next door. It is the kind of room that works when the artist is built for it. Morgan Wade is built for it.
Wade brings the Love’s Insane Tour to Empire Live on Wednesday, August 26 at 8:00 PM.
About Morgan Wade
Wade grew up in Floyd, Virginia — a small Appalachian town in the Blue Ridge Mountains where her grandparents took her to bluegrass sessions at the Floyd Country Store. She went on to earn a degree in exercise science before assembling a band through Craigslist and recording her debut. Then came Reckless in 2021, her RCA Nashville breakthrough — described at the time as sounding like “a hardened Sheryl Crow” — and the trajectory has been upward since.
She has now released five albums, including Psychopath (2023, produced by Jason Isbell and Sadler Vaden), Obsessed (2024), and The Party Is Over (recovered) in 2025 — rated 4.5 out of 5 by Entertainment Focus and called “her most musically ambitious and lyrically vulnerable record to date.” Her March 2026 single “Hard Drugs” is the most recent release. She writes every song herself and does not chase radio trends. The ACM nominated her for New Female Artist of the Year in 2023, and she spent summer 2024 opening for Alanis Morissette alongside Joan Jett.
The Albany date drops in the middle of a tight Northeast run that also hits The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, State Theatre in Portland, and Higher Ground in Vermont.
