Remedy plays The Black Crowes’ catalog with the kind of depth that separates committed tributes from the ones content to show up with three radio songs and a cover charge. Their 43-song repertoire spans the full range: hits, fan favorites, and deep cuts. When they return to Daryl’s House in Pawling on Sunday, January 3, the show delivers all of it.
About the Show
The set draws from across the Black Crowes’ catalog — “She Talks to Angels,” “Jealous Again,” “Hard to Handle,” and “Thorn in My Pride” among the hits, alongside deeper cuts like “High Head Blues,” “Sometimes Salvation,” “Wiser Time,” and the self-titled track that gives the band its name. Lead singer Nick Tantaros fronts a lineup built around two guitarists: Richard Page, who has followed the original band since their debut album, on rhythm and lead; and Pete DiCanto, who draws from classic rock and blues influences and brings what the band describes as “soulful feel and dynamic stage presence,” on lead. Melissa Schill handles background vocals; a professional vocalist with over ten years of experience, she also fronts Jagged Little Thrill-The Alanis Experience. Bill Crowley on bass, Gary Sauer on drums, and Lou Milone on keyboards complete the seven-piece lineup. Beyond their standard booking, Remedy maintains an alternate show called “Rolling Crowes” that combines Black Crowes material with Rolling Stones songs, available depending on venue preferences. The band has ticketed appearances across the region, including Ardmore Music Hall in Pennsylvania and the Landis Theater in New Jersey, and played Daryl’s House in January 2023. This is the return engagement.
Venue & Logistics
Daryl’s House opened in 2014 as Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall’s own restaurant and live music club, built around what the venue describes as “a killer sound system and an intimate setting” designed to feel like “chillin’ at Daryl’s actual house.” The concept grew from Hall’s Webby Award-winning web series and operates as both a dinner restaurant and a live music room at 130 Route 22 inPawling, in the Hudson Valley. At 300 capacity, it’s a small room for a seven-piece band — which, for this style of music in particular, tends to work in the audience’s favor. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. show.
