Twenty-six years into a career that began in Burlington, Ontario, Silverstein arrives in Buffalo on August 7 to close out the Camp Screamo Tour — and to do something that, by all accounts, should have happened considerably sooner: share a U.S. co-headline with Story of the Year for the first time in either band’s touring history.
About the Show
The Camp Screamo Tour opened July 12 in Asbury Park, New Jersey and has been moving through the country all summer, across 18 dates of post-hardcore before it arrives at Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B for its finale. That designation carries weight. Last nights of a tour tend to have a different charge, and Silverstein vocalist Shane Told has already framed this one in terms that leave little ambiguity: “This is the FIRST TIME Silverstein and Story of The Year have toured the US together,” he said at the announcement, promising a show that will be “nostalgic, loud, chaotic, fun, wild, emotional, slightly unhinged, sweaty, mildly dangerous, and a little irresponsible.” That is a formidable list of adjectives from a frontman who has been earning every one of them for a quarter century.
Silverstein — Shane Told (vocals), Paul Koehler (drums), Josh Bradford (guitar), Billy Hamilton (bass), and Paul Marc Rousseau (guitar) — are in their 25th-anniversary year, marking the milestone with a dual-album release in 2025: Antibloom and Pink Moon, both recorded at Fireside Sound in Joshua Tree, California, with guest appearances from Cassadee Pope and Rory Rodriguez. Their catalog traces from When Broken Is Easily Fixed (2003) and Discovering the Waterfront (2005), which earned gold certification in Canada, to the Juno Award-nominated A Beautiful Place to Drown (2020), and the band has accumulated nearly 1 billion streams across platforms, a tally NME has chosen to mark with the word “legendary.” That designation gets stretched in post-hardcore circles, but the discography earns it here.
Story of the Year, co-headlining, will draw from A.R.S.O.N. alongside material from Tear Me to Pieces. Guitarist Ryan Phillips has said: “We genuinely feel this new era of Story of the Year is the best we’ve ever sounded live.” Story of the Year has also described their co-headliners as “a really important band to the scene” whose records “keep getting better and more inspiring.” Origami Angel and Ally Nicholas round out the lineup.

The show takes place at Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B, 901 Fuhrmann Blvd, on Buffalo’s waterfront, an outdoor event space suited for a western New York summer finale. Doors open at 6 p.m.
