Snuffed on Sight at Empire Underground | May 15, 2026
Snuffed on Sight play a brand of slam death metal that functions like a sustained impact injury — non-stop, rhythmically punishing, and over before you realize what happened. Their 2023 debut Smoke runs eight tracks in fifteen minutes. Live, that means a set that does not give you a moment to prepare. Friday, May 15 at Empire Underground in Albany is your chance to find out.
The band formed in San Francisco in 2020 and has spent the years since building a reputation in the extreme metal underground for exactly what their name implies: brutal, relentless, and self-aware. Wall of Sound gave Smoke a 9/10; Angry Metal Guy landed at 3.5/5. The consensus is that this band hits harder than their runtime suggests.
The Albany show is part of a May 2026 East Coast headline run that has already taken them through Baltimore and Philadelphia before stopping in Brooklyn the night before. The bill at Empire Underground is expected to include Final Resting Place, Torture, Altar, and Blood Starved Beast — the room is going to be loud from the opening set.
Empire Underground is the subterranean club beneath Empire Live at 93 North Pearl Street — a basement room that holds around 350 people and puts every one of them close to the stage. If you follow heavy music in the Albany area, you already know this space. If you do not, get there by doors; an underground room this size fills fast.
Doors at 7 PM. Tickets on sale now.
