Buffalo’s Spaced are launching a 16-date international tour on Thursday, July 16 — and Albany gets night one. That is worth noting. A band that will spend the rest of the summer crossing into Canada, then the UK and Ireland, before closing out the year at FEST in Gainesville is opening the whole run right here in upstate New York. Get there early.
About Spaced
Formed in Buffalo in 2021, Spaced describe their sound as “far-out hardcore” — and that phrase earns its keep. The five-piece builds on a traditional hardcore chassis but layers in psychedelic guitar textures, shoegaze atmosphere, and a groove-centered approach that pulls from The Chameleons, Swervedriver, and My Bloody Valentine as much as anything in the hardcore canon. Vocalist Lexi Reyngoudt fronts the band alongside guitarists Joe Morganti and Donny Arthur, bassist John Vaughan, and drummer Dan McCormick.
Their latest release, the No Escape EP on Pure Noise Records (October 2025), was engineered by Jay Zubricky — who has worked with Every Time I Die and Terror — at his Buffalo studio. Five tracks that move from a stoner-inflected opener to a closer called “Dog Bite” that delivers exactly what that name promises. The EP follows their 2024 mini-album This Is All We Ever Get on Revelation Records. Support runs with Terror, Bane, and Hot Water Music have sharpened their live show considerably. This tour takes them to a different scale entirely.
About the Venue
Empire Underground is at 93 North Pearl Street in downtown Albany — a 500-capacity club that fits this kind of show exactly right. Close enough to feel every bit of the performance, big enough to move when the pit opens up. Check the venue directly at empirelivealbany.com for any day-of details. If you are anywhere in the Albany / Capital District region, this is one of the better rooms for a touring hardcore act at this level.
Tickets & Pricing
Tickets start at $21.65. Doors at 6:30 PM. Grab your tickets here. If you miss Albany, Spaced plays The Song & Dance in Syracuse the following night — but tour openers have their own energy, and this one is right in your backyard.
