Tony Danza is coming to the Bear’s Den Showroom at Seneca Niagara on Saturday, June 20, and this is one of those shows where the whole evening is the point — not just the hour and a half on stage.
Sinatra & Stories is Danza’s live cabaret tribute to Frank Sinatra, built around the Great American Songbook and something most tribute shows skip entirely: actual personal stories. Danza knew Sinatra. He shares those memories during the show — alongside tap dancing, ukulele, and a four-piece band led by music director James Sampliner. The New York Times called him “a live wire who tap-dances, plays the ukulele, tells stories and radiates irresistible charm.” When the show ran at 54 Below in New York City this past February, all three nights sold out.
If you know Danza only from Taxi or Who’s the Boss?, his career since then might surprise you. He has racked up an Emmy nomination for The Practice, Broadway credits in The Producers and A View from the Bridge, film work including Angels in the Outfield and Don Jon, and most recently Power Book III: Raising Kanan on STARZ. More than 50 years in entertainment — and the live show proves he has earned every one of them.
The Room
The Bear’s Den Showroom at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino holds 2,200 and is a proper sit-down theater inside the casino complex at 310 4th St in Niagara Falls. Solid sight lines, casino-level production values, the kind of room designed for a polished cabaret act. Showtime is 8:00 PM.
If you are making the drive from Buffalo or anywhere in Western New York, budget 30 to 45 minutes depending on where you are starting and how busy the Falls corridor is on a Saturday night. Parking is available at the casino complex. My honest suggestion: get there early, grab dinner at the resort, and treat this like a full night out. It is that kind of show.
