About Xtreme Queen
Xtreme Queen bills themselves as “the closest experience to a real Queen show since the passing of Freddie Mercury,” and they have the credentials to say it. Frontman S. Thomas has made national TV appearances on Good Morning America, VH1, MTV, ABC, and Bravo — the kind of exposure that comes from doing this at a level that gets noticed. The rest of the band is equally serious: guitarist Rob R. has shared stages with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, LL Cool J, and Vince Neil; bassist James L. studied under players from Paul Simon’s and Cyndi Lauper’s touring bands; drummer Dave W. has opened for Skid Row and White Lion. These are not weekend-warrior tribute players — this is a band that tours.
The centerpiece of every Xtreme Queen show is a full reproduction of Queen’s legendary 1985 Live Aid performance, played live on stage side-by-side with original video footage of Freddie Mercury and the band. No other Queen tribute act makes that claim. Crowd participation is baked into the set from early on, and Bohemian Rhapsody closes the night as the encore. The band has sold out rooms across the Northeast — including a sold-out run at the Stangl Stage in Flemington, NJ — and holds a 10/10 rating on Gig Heaven.
