Thirty-eight years into a career that outlasted the genre that spawned them, 311 remain one of the more dependable propositions on the summer amphitheater circuit — a band whose catalog plays better outdoors, at volume, on a July evening, than it does anywhere else. Their co-headline run with the Dirty Heads, the “So Glad You Made It Tour,” arrives at Syracuse’s Empower FCU Amphitheater on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 5:30 PM, with a lineup assembled from acts who have collectively put in the work on this circuit for decades.
The co-headline framing matters here. This isn’t a legacy act dragging along a token opener — both 311 and the Dirty Heads share equal billing, and both have the catalog to justify it. 311, formed in Omaha, Nebraska in 1988 and named after the local police department’s code for indecent exposure, broke nationally with their 1995 self-titled “Blue Album,” which reached number 12 on the Billboard 200, sold three million copies in the U.S., and produced “All Mixed Up” and “Down.” Their 14th studio album, Full Bloom, arrived in 2024; earlier this spring they released a re-recorded “Amber” with Los Mirlos and producer El Dusty — a band still actively engaging its own legacy rather than simply curating it.
The Dirty Heads bring their ninth studio album, 7 Seas (released June 12, 2026 via Better Noise Music), to this run. The Southern California group — built on the pairing of Dustin Bushnell and Jared Watson and a sound that blends hip-hop, reggae, and rock — has accumulated a substantial streaming profile and holds an RIAA platinum single in “Vacation.” Supporting acts on the Syracuse date are ROME (formerly of Sublime), who opens all dates on the tour, and Ocean Alley, on the bill through early August.
Venue
The Empower FCU Amphitheater is a 17,500-capacity outdoor venue at 490 Restoration Way in Syracuse. Gates open at 4:30 PM; the parking lot is accessible from 3:30 PM — worth noting for a Sunday early-evening start. Outside lawn chairs are not permitted for Live Nation events at this venue; a limited number of rentals are available for advance purchase online or at the gate while supplies last.
