The credential that separates The Australian Pink Floyd Show from the crowded field of Floyd tribute acts has nothing to do with pyrotechnics or ticket sales: it is the fact that David Gilmour personally invited them to perform at his 50th birthday celebration, and then joined them onstage alongside Richard Wright. The Times of London subsequently called them “The Gold Standard.” Almost 40 years into their existence, the label still fits.
About the Show
Founded in Adelaide in 1988, TAPFS has long since crossed the threshold from tribute act to touring institution. The ensemble runs 10 pieces — three lead vocalists in David Domminney Fowler, Ricky Howard, and Chris Barnes; three backing vocalists in Lorelei McBroom, Emily Lynn, and Lara Smiles; saxophonist Alex Francois; keyboardist David Parsons; guitarist Luc Ledy-Lepine; and drummer Paul Domninney, who has held the seat since 1998. They have sold over five million tickets across performances in 35 countries and are the first Floyd tribute act to achieve arena headliner status. The 2026 production adds a new stage set with video animation, precision lasers, and massive inflatables to what the band describes as “note for note perfection” across Pink Floyd’s catalog.
The 2026 tour is titled The Happiest Days of Our Lives – Greatest Hits 26. After spending much of 2025 on a production built around the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, the band pivoted to a run drawn from across their entire career. Lead vocalist Chris Barnes has described the live audience as spanning “young kids with their parents to grandparents” — which tracks. TAPFS has never operated as a one-generation nostalgia circuit; the Pink Floyd catalog it services crosses age groups in ways few catalogs do. The North American run began in Texas in July and closes in Kitchener, Ontario on September 21; the Laval date lands near the end of a closing Canadian stretch that moves through Rimouski and Ottawa in the days immediately before.

Place Bell in Laval, just north of Montreal, is an arena with the room and infrastructure to accommodate the kind of large-format, production-intensive show TAPFS is built to deliver. For fans in the north-country region, the Laval stop sits on the accessible edge of the closing Canadian leg — and near the end of a tour that will not return this way. Doors at 7:00 p.m., show at 8:00 p.m. The concert is all-ages.
