Drug Church have been touring hard enough in 2026 that a four-stop November club run almost reads as a breather. It isn’t. The Albany post-hardcore five-piece — deep in a touring year that crossed North America and Europe — closes out the run at Montage Music Hall in Rochester on Friday, November 13.
About the Show
Drug Church formed in Albany, New York in 2011. Their sound, as Ghost Cult Magazine describes it, is “a ferocious blend of hardcore punk, alternative rock, and grunge, topped with satirical and socially conscious lyrics.” Treblezine characterizes them as “a wildly fun band who often shine a spotlight on things that aren’t very fun at all.” Frontman Patrick Kindlon, who is also a prolific comic book writer for Image Comics, writes the lyrics.
Their 2024 album PRUDE is the band’s fifth full-length on Pure Noise Records, produced by Jon Markson: 10 tracks, 28 minutes, and an 81 on Metacritic. Kerrang! called it “a sub-30-minute blast of punk fury.” Exclaim wrote that it “packs plenty of punch, mixing old and new strengths well.” Treblezine describes it as “engineered primarily for thrills and designed to be experienced loudly.” New single “Pynch,” out in 2026 on Pure Noise, followed. When The Horn Blows called it “a blister of power chords and tonal perfection” that can “blend a gorgeous chord progression into an eruption of melodic chaos within seconds.”
Drug Church previously completed a European and UK support run with Deftones. They then co-headlined a 31-date North American tour with White Reaper from March through May 2026, and headlined the UK and Europe in September. The November mini-tour, four dates following their Flyover Fest appearance in Oklahoma City, is club-sized by comparison. Rochester is the final stop. No support acts have been announced.
