Giovannie and the Hired Guns at Town Ballroom Buffalo | April 26, 2026
Giovannie Yanez grew up working in a pawnshop and a rock quarry in Stephenville, Texas. The music he makes sounds like it. Giovannie & The Hired Guns land at Town Ballroom in Buffalo on Sunday, April 26, bringing a genre-collision that tends to leave audiences a little disoriented in the best possible way — alt-metal riffs tangled with Red Dirt twang, Latin pop color, and straight Americana grit.
About Giovannie & The Hired Guns
The Stephenville, Texas five-piece has been defying category since forming in 2015. Yanez’s philosophy from the start: stop worrying about sounding too rock or too country. That thinking paid off in 2021 when “Ramon Ayala” hit No. 1 on two Billboard charts simultaneously — something no act had pulled off in more than 15 years. A 2023 iHeartRadio Award for Best New Artist in Alternative & Rock followed, along with a signing to Warner Music Nashville through its partnership with Warner Music Latina.
Their 2024 album Quitter, recorded at Sonic Ranch and produced by Johnny K, continues the run. If you have not seen this band live, that album is a good reason to start. Georgia’s The Lacs — the dirt-rock duo who built five RIAA Gold records and their own Dirt Rock Empire label completely independently — open the show.
About Town Ballroom
Town Ballroom sits at 681 Main Street in Buffalo and has long been one of the better mid-size standing-room floors in Western New York. If you are coming in from outside the city, plan around downtown Buffalo parking — the neighborhood around Main Street has options, but the lot situation on show nights rewards arriving before doors. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
This is a 16+ show — bring a government-issued ID. Face value pricing is not posted on the venue’s page, but third-party resale is running around $63 and up. Worth booking sooner rather than later.
