If you were anywhere near a basement show in 2014 and knew every word of Life Lessons, you already know what this announcement means. Handguns — the Harrisburg, PA pop-punk band that went quiet after 2020 — is back for a limited reunion run with exactly two dates on the calendar. Rochester is the last stop.
About Handguns
Handguns formed in 2008 and spent years building their following the right way — heavy touring on the Pure Noise Records circuit alongside Man Overboard, State Champs, and Forever Came Calling. Their catalog runs from Angst (2012) through Life Lessons (2014) and Disenchanted (2015) to When The Light Burns Out in 2020 — over a decade of melodic, emotionally direct pop punk that wears its influences proudly and earns every hook. The road went quiet after 2020. These two dates aren’t a tour announcement — they’re a moment. No new music has been announced. Rochester is the finale.
Montage Music Hall
Montage Music Hall is a 400-capacity independent rock venue at 55 Chestnut St in downtown Rochester. If you’re driving in from Syracuse or Ithaca for this one — and you probably should — it’s a straightforward show night in a tight, loud room that’s exactly right for a reunion set with this much catalog behind it. Ages 16 and up. Doors at 6:00 PM.
Three acts round out the bill: Every So Often, Drug Store Make Up, and Violet and Anybody Else. Plan to be there early.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale now via Etix. This is a 400-person room, a two-date reunion run, and a band with a devoted following that’s been waiting since 2020. That combination doesn’t sit unsold for long.
