Some Sunday night metal shows are worth the Monday morning. Jeffrey Nothing — the co-founding voice of Mushroomhead — in a 450-capacity Rochester club on Aug. 9 is one of them.
About Jeffrey Nothing
Jeffrey Nothing built his name as the co-founding vocalist of Mushroomhead — the Cleveland avant-garde metal institution that spent three decades building something heavy and strange, distinctly and stubbornly their own. His solo work strips that foundation down: voice and riff at the center, no spectacle required.
Catching him at 450-capacity Photo City — rather than a larger room — means hearing that voice up close, without 20 feet of stage between you.
About the Venue
Photo City Music Hall is the right room for this. Located at 543 Atlantic Ave. in Rochester, it holds 450 — a club that knows how to handle loud. The sound hangs in the room the right way, close enough that you feel it in your chest.
Sunday night at Photo City for a metal bill is not a casual proposition. You are there to hear it.
Opening Act
Opening is Dizasterpiece. Get there early if you want the full night.
