If you are going to watch two pop punk bands close out a 13-date co-headline tour, Buffalo is not a bad place to do it. Rec Room on W Chippewa Street is the final stop — and this one has the feel of a last night that earns its place on the calendar.
About the Show
Hit the Lights and Major League are both playing full anniversary sets on this run. Hit the Lights are marking 20 years of This Is A Stickup…Don’t Make It A Murder, their 2006 debut full-length and the record that put the Lima, Ohio band on the map for a generation of pop punk fans. Major League are celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Truth Is…, their debut EP from November 2010 — and doing it on their first proper tour in approximately a decade. The EP finally got its first-ever vinyl pressing in 2025, which tells you everything about the moment this reunion is landing in.
Major League put it plainly in a statement: “Our band was lucky enough to be a part of this special scene where community is everything. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t nervous but the excitement to take this family reunion on the road and reconnect with the very people that made this band possible supersedes any apprehension.”
