INOHA is the kind of band that sneaks up on you. The San Antonio four-piece blends indie rock, surf rock, and pop punk into something fans have taken to describing as “the sound of having a good day” — and after their debut album ALOHA INOHA crossed a million monthly Spotify listeners, it turns out a lot of people are catching on. They play Buffalo’s Rec Room this Wednesday, May 20, near the tail end of a 16-date spring 2026 North American tour, with Flight by Nothing opening.
About INOHA
The band — Keanu Bicol on rhythm guitar and vocals, Gavin Gonzalez on lead guitar, Christian Young on bass, and Ricardo Juarez on drums — recorded ALOHA INOHA with producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith at The Bubble Studios. The result is a set of tracks that shifts between sun-drenched surf guitar, pop punk urgency, and melodic indie rock depth. Songs like “Saturday Nights” and “Seventh Heaven” show off the interplay between Bicol’s vocals and Gonzalez’s lead work that makes this band feel bigger than a club show should allow. Their follow-up EP, Chance 2 Dance, pushed further into synth textures while keeping the same melodic instincts that made the debut land. Most recently, they dropped the single “Downpour” in February 2026.
If Good Kid, Joy Again, or The Rare Occasions are in your regular rotation, this one is worth making the trip for.
