The question at a Choir! Choir! Choir! show is not whether you know the Fleetwood Mac catalog (you do) but how long before you stop worrying about whether you can actually sing it. The group’s answer, built out over more than a decade of participatory performances, is that it happens before the first chorus ends.
About the Show
Choir! Choir! Choir!, founded in 2011 by co-directors Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman, arrives at the Brockville Arts Centre on Friday, March 19 with LANDSLIDE: An EPIC Fleetwood Mac Sing-Along, a production currently running 55 dates across North America through May 2027. The format dispenses with the passive concert model: Goldman and Adilman teach the parts, the room learns them, and the performance happens in real time, built from whatever voices show up that night. No experience required, all voices welcome.
Their track record gives the premise its weight. Since 2011, the group has collaborated with Patti Smith, David Byrne, Brandi Carlile, Rick Astley, Rufus Wainwright, and (for reasons the résumé does not fully explain) Kermit the Frog, with a significant engagement at New York’s Lincoln Center among the more consequential stops. Their videos have drawn millions of views. The New Yorker called their approach “breathing new life into pop songs” and “a powerful example of how music can bring people together and build community”; Roots Music Canada described it as “a moving thing to behold.” For the Landslide run, the source material is Fleetwood Mac’s catalog: songs most audiences have internalized so completely that the question shifts from whether they know the words to whether they’ll let themselves sing them out loud.
The Brockville stop falls between a March 14 appearance at Burlington’s Performing Arts Centre and a March 20 date at Kingston’s Grand Theatre, part of a concentrated Ontario run as the tour moves through its final weeks.
