Lord Huron played a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 10 of this summer, then continued through dates that included Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, a venue that holds 17,000. The “23 Nights at the Broken Bottle” residency that opens December 1 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium is the other side of that coin: historic theaters, no opening acts, and every stage reimagined as the Broken Bottle, the fictional desert honky-tonk at the center of Ben Schneider’s elaborate artistic mythology.
About the Show
The residency supports The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, Lord Huron’s fifth studio album, released in July 2025. The record is built around a mythical jukebox-like device called the Cosmic Selector, which allows its user to choose their fate as if picking a song; the themes that follow are Schneider’s recurring ones, carried deeper: longing, the weight of paths not taken, the pull of what might have been. Instrumentation ranges from electric and acoustic guitars and banjo to pedal steel and orchestral arrangements recorded with the Stockholm Studio Orchestra. Guest collaborators include actress Kristen Stewart, who provides narration on “Who Laughs Last,” and Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead. New Noise Magazine called the album “their most evolved album yet”; mxdwn Music described it as deepening “their worldbuilding with even more atmospheric production and quietly devastating lyricism.”
The Albany date is billed “An Evening With Lord Huron”—no opener, the set drawing from the full catalog, including what the press describes as rarely performed deep cuts. The band has framed the tour as “a neon and moonlit journey across the years.” That framing is less poetic excess than operational description: Lord Huron’s catalog carries considerably more weight than it did a decade ago, in part because “The Night We Met,” the closing track on 2015’s Strange Trails, found a second life via Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why in 2017 and pulled an entirely new audience back through Schneider’s back catalog. A full evening with no support act is how you actually use that depth.

The Palace Theatre puts Lord Huron in the company Consequence identified for this residency: historic theaters alongside the Ryman Auditorium, Kings Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre. The show is Friday, December 11, at 8 p.m. in Albany’s Capital Region.
