The name El Buki carries weight in any Latin music market — five Latin Grammy wins, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, induction into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame, and a catalog where audiences don’t wait for the chorus to start singing. Marco Antonio Solís brings Tour Gratitud 2026 to Place Bell in Laval on Friday, August 28, at 8 p.m.

About the Show

Tour Gratitud is exactly what its name promises: a 23-date North American run that Solís has framed as a direct acknowledgment of his fans’ loyalty across five decades of work. When announcing the dates, he put it plainly: “To all my hermanitos in the United States, few things fill me with as much joy, and above all, #GRATITUD, as announcing that we’ll soon be able to meet again.” The Laval date is one of two Canadian stops; for audiences in the north-country region, it is the closest Tour Gratitud date on the full schedule.

Solís grew up in Michoacán, Mexico, and built Los Bukis into an international force — a group he led as frontman, producer, arranger, and composer. Their fusion of cumbia, norteño, and banda with synthesizer accompaniment reshaped Tejano and norteño music along the U.S.-Mexico border, and the group earned 15 Gold Records, 10 Platinum Records, and one Diamond Record across multiple countries. When Los Bukis dissolved in 1996, Solís moved into solo work that proved equally durable: his 1997 album Marco was a radio hit in Mexico and the United States, and he has since released more than 20 albums and written more than 300 songs. The Latin Recording Academy named him Person of the Year. A documentary series titled El Buki explored previously undisclosed details of his life and career. Tour Gratitud’s program centers on the compositions that defined both eras — among them “Si No Te Hubieras Ido,” “Tu Cárcel,” and “Más Que Tu Amigo.” No support acts are listed.

Venue & Logistics

Place Bell, at 1950 Claude-Gagné Street in Laval, is a major indoor arena in the greater Montreal area. The Laval date draws on a substantial Spanish-speaking community in Quebec that has followed Solís’s music across decades. Show time is 8 p.m.
