Mumford & Sons arrive in Syracuse on Thursday, June 18, bringing the Prizefighter Tour to the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview — an outdoor amphitheater booking that places the Central NY market on the same routing sheet as Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, and Madison Square Garden. That the band’s sixth-album campaign includes an outdoor amphitheater stop here, rather than a theater or a pass-through date in a larger city, is the kind of detail worth pausing on.
About Mumford & Sons
The trio — Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, and Ben Lovett, assembled in London in 2007 — have built a career on the kind of anthemic folk-rock that fills outdoor spaces without apparent effort. Grammy and BRIT Award winners, they have long operated at the level where the back catalogue carries a crowd before a single note of new material is played. The question heading into the Prizefighter Tour is what the new material will do on its own terms.
Prizefighter, the sixth studio album, arrived February 20, 2026, co-produced with Aaron Dessner. The record’s fourteen tracks pull in Hozier, Chris Stapleton, Gracie Abrams, Justin Vernon, and Gigi Perez as collaborators — a guest list that suggests either genuine musical range or a very well-organized Rolodex. The live show will adjudicate that question more efficiently than the early reviews have.
The Venue
The Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview, at 490 Restoration Way in Syracuse, is the region’s outdoor amphitheater for occasions like this — a properly scaled summer venue for bands that know how to command an open-air crowd. The June 18 date lands near the start of the run; the Central NY stop comes roughly three and a half months before the tour closes at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on October 6, which means this is, by design, early-run Mumford & Sons — before the setlists have calcified and the machine has locked into its final form.
Tickets
Dylan Gossett opens the evening. Show time is 7:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
