Pop Evil is coming to The Song & Dance, and at 200 capacity, this is the kind of ratio that does not come around very often for a band this deep into a national touring career.
The show is Saturday, September 19 at 115 E. Jefferson Street in downtown Syracuse. Doors open at 6:00 PM, show starts at 7:00 PM. Presented by After Dark & KROCK. This is a 16+ event — 16 and up admitted with valid ID, or under 16 with a parent or legal guardian.
About Pop Evil
Pop Evil has been at it since 2001, when frontman Leigh Kakaty put the band together in North Muskegon, Michigan. They climbed from Michigan bar stages to national radio with their 2008 debut Lipstick On The Mirror and its follow-up War of Angels, then landed their first No. 1 single with 2013’s Onyx — the album that put them squarely on the hard rock map.
The band is currently on the What Remains Tour, supporting their latest album — described as “heavier, darker, and more direct than anything the band has released before.” Kakaty put the approach plainly: “Turn the vocal down, turn the guitars up and let’s roll… It really feels like we’re tipping the iceberg of what we can create.” The new single “The Decay” arrives in that same unflinching spirit. The band also brings a new piece to the lineup — drummer Blake Allison, formerly of Egypt Central and Devour the Day, who made his recording debut with Pop Evil on What Remains.
About The Song & Dance
The Song & Dance is a 200-capacity bar and music venue in the heart of downtown Syracuse. At that size, every spot in the room is a good one — there is nowhere to hide for the band and nowhere to lose the show for the audience. That is exactly the point for a hard rock act that has spent over two decades learning how to fill a room.
Tickets & Details
Tickets start at $32.11. At 200 capacity, do not wait on this one.
