The Song & Dance sits in the bottom level of the Jefferson Center, steps from Armory Square in downtown Syracuse — and if you have not been for a show yet, Danny Worsnop’s Live On Tour: The Tour on Friday, September 18 is a solid first reason to go. Doors open at 6:30 PM; show starts at 7:15.
About Danny Worsnop
Worsnop is harder to pin down than his history suggests. The Yorkshire-born, Nashville-based singer is probably best known as the former voice of Asking Alexandria, but his solo work went somewhere different — and somewhere better, honestly. The Long Road Home (2017) introduced a blues and country-inflected version of the guy, and Shades of Blue (2019) pushed deeper into soul and Americana. His current single, “I Tried to Write a Sad Song,” is on streaming now. Come in with an open mind.
Support: Tyler Rich
Tyler Rich opens — and that is not a throwaway detail. The Northern California-born, Nashville-based artist has accumulated over half a billion global streams and landed three No. 1 hits on SiriusXM’s The Highway. His RIAA Gold singles “The Difference” and “Leave Her Wild” are the kind of songs that feel familiar the first time you hear them. He has been riding alongside Worsnop all fall; the Syracuse date is the final stop on this run.
