Fourteen years in, nine studio albums deep, and Robert Jon & The Wreck are still the kind of band that earns their comparison to the Allman Brothers by showing up — night after night, city after city, on tours alongside Joe Bonamassa, The Black Crowes, Gov’t Mule, and Blackberry Smoke. Their live show is built on searing guitar work, soulful harmonies, and deep grooves: the Southern rock vocabulary executed by a five-piece that has spent its entire career on the road. Their Saturday show at Buffalo Iron Works on April 3 closes out the East Coast leg of a world tour that began in Europe last fall.

The anchor for this run is Heartbreaks & Last Goodbyes, the band’s ninth studio album, released August 22, 2025 and produced by GRAMMY winner Dave Cobb (whose credits include work with Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson), recorded in Savannah, Georgia. Robert Jon Burrison handles vocals and guitar; Henry James takes lead guitar; Andrew Espantman drums; Warren Murrel holds down bass; and Jake Abernathie brings keys. Classic Rock (Loudersound) concluded the band has “earned the right to keep channelling the spirit of the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd,” and Blues Rock Review awarded it 8/10, calling the closing stretch “timeless and elemental in the way the best songs of The Band do” and singling out “Keep Myself Clean” (a reflection on sobriety) as among the most emotionally resonant moments on the record. The gospel-influenced “I Wanna Give It” also made the review’s standout cuts.
The 2026 release Wreckage, Vol. 3 (nine tracks on Journeyman Records, compiling standalone singles and bonus material from the Red Moon Rising deluxe edition) rounds out the available set material. The Buffalo date is among the final stops on the East Coast run; no support act is listed.
Venue & Logistics
Western New York has always had a circuit for this kind of touring band, and Buffalo Iron Works, a 500-capacity room at 49 Illinois Street, is a natural fit. For a five-piece grinding through 39 dates across eight countries on this cycle, it is a more intimate room than the festival stages and theater supports their résumé suggests.
