Seattle Sons & Smells Like Dave Grohl at Buffalo Iron Works | May 22, 2026

If you have been sleeping on grunge tribute nights, Friday, May 22 is a good reason to wake up. Buffalo Iron Works is hosting a double bill that covers nearly the entire ’90s Seattle catalog in one room — Seattle Sons making the run down from Syracuse, and Buffalo’s own Smells Like Dave Grohl holding down the home side.

About Seattle Sons

Seattle Sons formed in Syracuse in 2018 with a specific mandate: take the grunge era seriously. Their setlist spans the whole movement — Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog, and Mad Season. That is not a vague ’90s playlist; it is a curriculum.

The four-piece — vocalist Shane Stillman, guitarist Jake Bunger, bassist Gabe Infantino, and drummer Kevin Dean — brings real credibility to the stage. Members have performed at Woodstock ’99, shared stages with Heart and John Popper of Blues Traveler, and collaborated with Greg Hawkes of The Cars and Liberty DeVitto, longtime drummer for Billy Joel. The band describes their combined experience as exceeding a century. That feels right.

About Smells Like Dave Grohl

Smells Like Dave Grohl are Buffalo’s own, built around a specific and demanding premise: honoring both halves of Dave Grohl’s legacy — Nirvana and Foo Fighters — with the kind of commitment that earns repeat bookings at home. Michael O’Connor handles lead vocals and guitar; Mason Laboski adds guitar and vocals; Jaryd Campbell is on bass; Mike Campbell plays drums. They have played Buffalo Iron Works before, which means they know exactly how to fill it.
