Sing Pitch Perfect with Deke Sharon & Splüsh at Kingston Grand Theatre | October 17, 2026

Deke Sharon has been making a cappella make sense to people who thought they didn’t like a cappella for longer than the Pitch Perfect franchise has existed. On Saturday, October 17, he brings “Sing Pitch Perfect” to Kingston Grand Theatre’s Rosen Auditorium — an evening where every person in the room leaves having actually performed.

About the Show

The format works as simply as it sounds. Sharon, who served as music director, arranger, and vocal producer for all three Pitch Perfect films plus the Bumper in Berlin spin-off, distributes sheet music to every seat and guides the room through “Since U Been Gone” entirely a cappella. All ages and skill levels are welcome; the event explicitly invites non-singers.

Sharon’s credentials go well past Hollywood. Entertainment Weekly dubbed him “the father of contemporary a cappella” and The Boston Globe called him “a one man a cappella revolution.” He has written seven books, arranged more than 2,000 songs, produced Gold and Platinum albums that topped the Billboard charts, and created In Transit, the first a cappella musical on Broadway. As founder of The House Jacks, billed as “the original Rock Band Without Instruments,” he has shared the stage with Ray Charles, James Brown, and the Four Tops. He has been performing professionally since the age of eight. The Kingston show also includes behind-the-scenes stories from the Pitch Perfect productions, the kind of firsthand detail that only someone who was actually there can offer. As for the experience itself: Sir Paul McCartney attended a previous show and said, “Completely amazing, I forgot there wasn’t an orchestra!”

The Kingston date is part of a Canadian fall tour that also stops in Burlington and Ottawa, among other Ontario venues. Sharing the stage is Splüsh, the 2025 SING! Canadian A Cappella Championships double champions (First Place and Audience Choice). Kingston Grand’s event page describes them as bringing “bold harmonies, innovative arrangements, and the kind of on-stage energy that gets the whole room buzzing,” with a repertoire built around pop hits and eclectic indie and R&B favorites.

Venue & Logistics

The show runs in the Rosen Auditorium at Kingston Grand Theatre, 218 Princess Street in Kingston, Ontario, part of the north-country coverage area. It is a theater, which suits the format: a participatory evening built around sheet music and group singing belongs in an auditorium. Show time is 7:30 p.m.
