sombr — born Shane Michael Boose, the stage name a play on his initials — built a billion-plus streams off “back to friends” and “undressed,” then backed it up with a full-length, I Barely Know Her, in August 2025. The momentum carried into a banner stretch: a Best Alternative win at the MTV VMAs, a Best New Artist nomination at the 2026 Grammys, and a Coachella debut this past April where he pulled Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan onstage. For an artist who was playing club rooms a year ago, the jump to arenas is the headline.
