If you have been looking for a reason to check out Kodak Center on Rochester’s west side, here is a good one. Stayin’ Alive: One Night of the Bee Gees comes to the 2,400-seat theater on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 7:30 PM — a full-scale production built around the music the Gibb brothers spent five decades making. Park early. Parking is cashless, so come prepared.
About Stayin’ Alive: One Night of the Bee Gees
Billed as the world’s #1 tribute to the Bee Gees, the production scales to fit the room — performing as a six-piece band in smaller venues or expanding to a 62-piece orchestra for major theater engagements. Kodak Center is that kind of room, so expect the bigger version. Big-screen video, photographs, and imagery run throughout, giving the show a concert-documentary feel that goes well beyond a standard tribute act.
Leading the performance is Tony Mattina, a Toronto music scene veteran, on lead and backing vocals and guitar in the Barry Gibb role. The setlist spans the full catalog: “Night Fever,” “Jive Talkin’,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” “You Should Be Dancing,” “Nights on Broadway,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “I Started a Joke,” “Massachusetts,” “Fanny Be Tender,” “Words,” and “To Love Somebody.” Early pop, disco peak, the tender ballads — it is all in there.
The Bee Gees — Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb — were Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees who shaped popular music across five decades. Hearing those songs live in a proper theater is its own thing.
