Daryl’s House in Pawling is one of those venues you drive to on a Sunday and end up talking about for weeks. On July 12, Canyon Lights and Handsome Jack are on the bill — two bands that know exactly what to do with a room this size.
About Canyon Lights + Handsome Jack
Canyon Lights is the blues-rock trio fronted by Tim Carman and Pat Faherty — both formerly of GA-20 — leaning hard on 1970s touchstones (Mountain, Thin Lizzy, the James Gang) and building out a live-heavy catalog anchored by their 2025 single “Drivin’ Me.” Deep-groove riffs, real dynamics, playing that rewards a room where you can actually hear what’s happening onstage.
Handsome Jack, out of Lockport, N.Y., carries the other half of the bill with twenty years of blues-rock miles on the odometer. Their 2024 LP A Good Thing (Alive Naturalsound Records) is the clearest recent snapshot of what they do: hooks, grit, and the kind of chemistry you only get from a band that’s been in vans together for a decade-plus. Two bands, one room, one Sunday night.
About Daryl’s House
If you haven’t made the drive to Daryl’s House yet, a Sunday night double bill is a good way to start. The venue sits at 130 Route 22 in Pawling — just off I-84, which puts it within reach of the Hudson Valley, Westchester, and western Connecticut without much of a stretch. The room is small. Every seat puts you close to the stage. The sound is what you’d expect from a room built to actually play music in, not just fill seats.
Doors are at 7 p.m. There’s no bad spot in this room, but arriving early means you settle in before things get loud. Check what’s open in Pawling if you want to eat before the show — budget a little extra time for the drive down Route 22.

Tickets & Pricing
For a room this size, $28.69–$40.02 is a fair ask. This kind of bill in a club this small tends to fill quietly — check the link before you plan the drive.
