The five-year gap that followed Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones did something unusual for The Neighbourhood: it enlarged their audience instead of diminishing it. When Jesse Rutherford and company returned with (((((ultraSOUND))))) on Warner Records (the band’s first album since 2020, produced by Jono Dorr), the rooms waiting for them were considerably larger than the ones they had left. The Wourld Tour II, sequel to a sold-out 68-arena-date run that included Madison Square Garden, comes to Centre Bell in Montreal on April 27.
About the Show
The Neighbourhood is Rutherford (vocals), guitarist Zach Abels, drummer Brandon Fried, bassist Jeremy Freeman, and Mikey Margott — the California quintet formed in Newbury Park in 2011 that broke through two years later with debut album I Love You, anchored by the multi-platinum hit “Sweater Weather.” Their subsequent catalog — Wiped Out! (2015), The Neighbourhood (2018), Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones (2020) — built a following that, during the five-year pause, apparently kept growing in the band’s absence. “The rise in our fan base during that time was obviously unforeseen, and we’re just incredibly grateful,” Margott said of the reunion’s reception. The 2026 Wourld Tour, 68 arena dates that closed with two nights at Kia Forum in Inglewood, proved the scale of it. The Wourld Tour II is the follow-through, supporting (((((ultraSOUND))))), the 15-track Warner Records album released in November 2025. It has accumulated 393 million global streams, with lead single “Private” continuing to climb alternative radio. The band’s atmospheric sound, which their own materials describe as a blend of “alternative rock, pop and electronic influences,” has been carrying rooms like this one for over a year. As Pollstar observed of the reunion cycle: “They returned to the industry…wiser, refreshed and more beloved than they could ever imagine.” No support acts were listed in tour materials at the time of publication.

Centre Bell, the 21,000-capacity arena in downtown Montreal, opens the Canadian portion of The Wourld Tour II’s spring 2027 leg. The circuit continues to Ottawa on April 28, then to Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton in May — all part of the north-country run Upstate Concerts tracks.
