If you have been looking for a reason to drive down Route 22 into Pawling, this is it. The Slambovian Circus of Dreams plays Daryl’s House Club on Friday, July 10, 2026 — and it is a genuine Hudson Valley homecoming. Doors open at 5:00 PM, show at 8:00 PM, which means plenty of time to settle in with dinner before the music starts.
About The Slambovian Circus of Dreams
Also known as Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, this six-piece band has been making rootsy, trippy Americana since 1998, when they formed in Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County. Led by vocalist and songwriter Joziah Longo — the band’s “resident shaman of Slambovia” — alongside multi-instrumentalists Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, mandolin, flute), Sharkey McEwen (guitar, mandolin), RJ McCarty (keys, banjo, saxophone), Bob Torsello (bass), and Matthew Abourezk (drums), they cover sonic territory that is genuinely hard to map. Think Bob Dylan taking a long detour through Syd Barrett and the Incredible String Band.
Chronogram Magazine named them Best Band in New York. Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull called them “a breath of fresh air…with varied eclectic influences and great musicianship.” AllMusic says they are “simply one of the finest American bands.” Their 2022 album A Very Unusual Head is considered their finest work, and a seventh studio album is expected later this year.

The sound system is exceptional. Plan to arrive at doors (5:00 PM) and eat before the show; reserved table seatings are available from 6:00–7:00 PM if you want to make a full evening of it.
