The Wood Brothers at Frog Alley Brewing | June 20, 2026
Frog Alley’s outdoor Summer Concert Series is one of the better-kept secrets in the Albany / Capital District — a brewery courtyard on State Street in downtown Schenectady that manages to feel like a neighborhood block party and a proper music venue at the same time. On Saturday, June 20, that series lands one of its best bookings of the year: The Wood Brothers, the Nashville-based trio that has spent two decades weaving Americana, blues, R&B, and folk into something entirely their own.
About The Wood Brothers
Brothers Oliver Wood (acoustic and electric guitars, vocals) and Chris Wood (upright bass, vocals) — the latter a co-founder of the celebrated jazz group Medeski Martin & Wood — joined forces in 2004, eventually bringing in multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix to complete the lineup. They signed to Blue Note Records and have since built a catalog spanning 14 live and studio albums, ranging from rootsy Americana to funk-inflected blues. Their 2019 album One Drop of Truth earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album. Their latest release, Puff of Smoke, dropped in August 2025, and they are deep into an active North American tour this summer — including co-headline dates with JJ Grey & Mofro.
About the Venue
Frog Alley Brewing opened in 2018 as the first brewery of its scale in the Schenectady area. The outdoor concert space is general admission and standing room only, with a VIP patio option that includes side-stage seating when available. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. This is a 21+ event — bring valid ID. No backpacks, no outside beverages, no re-entry once you’re in. Low-profile lawn chairs are allowed in designated areas only, not in the pit or VIP. Rain or shine.
For parking, your best options are the Broadway parking garage, SCCC lots, and county-owned lots at S Church Street and 222 S Ferry Street. Street parking is available nearby. Skip any spaces marked LFA — you will be towed. Drink tickets are sold on-site at $10 each or 4 for $35.
