Twin Temple at Electric City | March 3, 2027

By Marc Delacroix · November 5, 2026

Alexandra and Zachary James have spent the better part of a decade building Twin Temple on a specific tension — the warm, honeyed textures of classic doo-wop and girl-group production set against occult imagery and Satanic aesthetics. Doomed Lovers, their third studio album, doesn’t resolve that tension so much as deepen it: 37-piece orchestral arrangements, production by Grammy Award-winning Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound’s Studio 3 in Hollywood, and a lyrical framework the band describes as “a theatrical and confessional take on all or nothing love, the dark side of devotion.” The Doomed Lovers Tour brings that album to Electric City in western New York on Wednesday, March 3.

About the Show

Doomed Lovers arrived October 2026 on Pentagrammaton Records via Secretly Distribution, an eight-track record drawing from what the band calls “centuries old mythic literary Romantic themes,” filtered through the Countrypolitan-noir aesthetics of Roy Orbison, The Ronettes, and The Shangri-Las. Jennings tracked the album at Sunset Sound using classic analog methods, with a 37-piece orchestra alongside musicians Matt Chamberlain and Jay Bellerose. The band described the record as emerging from a period of grief and health struggles, crediting the studio collaboration with reconnecting them to their love of music. The lead-out single, “Nothing Matters,” was characterized by the duo as born from “the bleakest, lowest point of depression and apathy following a devastating loss,” channeling what they call “Nihilistic and Byronic romanticism” over a “lush, cinematic sweep.”

The tour has not been without its own narrative arc: country artist Charley Crockett dropped Twin Temple from his tour dates over their use of Satanic imagery; Jack White responded by inviting them to open a Los Angeles show. The Buffalo stop, slotted between Toronto (March 2, Opera House) and New York City (March 4, Webster Hall), is part of a 20-city North American sweep that opened Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City and closes March 20 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. No supporting act has been announced for the Buffalo date.

Venue & Logistics

Electric City is at 433 Pearl Street in Buffalo’s Theater District. The venue takes its name from the moment in 1896 when Buffalo became the first American city to receive electricity — a bit of local history that suits a band whose aesthetic runs on its own kind of charged current. Doors at 7:00 p.m., show at 8:00 p.m. All ages.
