Hot In Herre: 2000s Dance Party at Electric City | November 13, 2026

By Eli Thorne · November 4, 2026

The 2000s covered a ridiculous amount of sonic ground: Nelly and Avril Lavigne in the same decade, Amy Winehouse and Flo Rida, Outkast and the Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul and 50 Cent. Hot In Herre has been running all of it through a DJ-driven dance party at rooms like First Avenue and the 9:30 Club, and the tour lands at Electric City in Buffalo on Friday, Nov. 13.

About the Show

Self-described as “the biggest 2000s/Y2K party in the country,” Hot In Herre spans the full decade in a single night, running through pop, hip-hop, R&B, indie, and emo on a playlist that includes Usher, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Shakira, Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, Eminem, T-Pain, Fergie, the Black Eyed Peas, and more. The event doesn’t pick a lane — Amy Winehouse on the same floor as Pitbull, Avril Lavigne right alongside Outkast, Eminem sharing time with Shakira, the full decade in the room at once. Organizers describe the scope as “the entire almanac from Akon to Zombie Nation,” covering more genre ground than most single-genre nights manage in a year. Song requests are open all night. Y2K-era visuals run throughout, transporting the room back to the era of away messages and blinged-out flip phones.

Part of what gives this circuit credibility is the routing. This year’s dates include The Crocodile in Seattle, First Avenue in Minneapolis, and the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC — rooms that do not take bookings on nostalgia novelty alone. The tour continues through December, wrapping New Year’s Eve dates in Asheville and Nashville.

Dress code is encouraged: Juicy Couture sweats, Ed Hardy shirts, low-rise jeans, UGG boots, stunner shades.

Venue & Logistics

Electric City is in Buffalo’s Theater District at 433 Pearl St, a consistent anchor on the western New York concert calendar. The venue takes its name from Buffalo’s historical status as America’s first electrified city in 1896. One note before you go: the official artist site lists the Buffalo date as 18+, while the Electric City event page lists it as all ages — confirm the age restriction directly with the venue. Doors are 7:00 p.m.; show at 8:00 p.m.
