The tribute band circuit tends to produce two kinds of acts: those that trade on nostalgia alone and those that have actually done the work. ACROBAT: The U2 Tribute, a Toronto-based outfit operating since 2004, falls into the latter category — and the resume to back it up.
On Friday, May 29, 2026, ACROBAT brings their full-production U2 experience to The Showroom at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY. Showtime is 8:00 PM.
About ACROBAT: The U2 Tribute
ACROBAT began in 2004 under the name October before rebranding in 2010, taking their current name from “Acrobat” — the Achtung Baby deep cut that U2 famously avoided playing live for decades. (The real U2 finally debuted it on the 2018 Experience + Innocence Tour.) That kind of curatorial instinct is what separates a serious tribute act from a bar band in a wig.
Their set spans four decades of U2’s catalog, balancing the chart-dominating anthems with deeper album cuts — structured to work for the casual listener and the devoted fan who cares about the difference between the Joshua Tree era and the Zooropa era. The four-piece models their performances closely on U2’s live output at its best.
The credential that sets ACROBAT apart from the standard tribute circuit: on July 6, 2015, U2 personally invited the band onstage at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre to perform before 22,000 fans. Rolling Stone covered it. More telling still, U2’s own record label has commissioned ACROBAT multiple times for custom shows built around major tours. That is not a thing that happens to tribute bands very often.
The Showroom at Turning Stone Resort Casino
Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona anchors much of the entertainment calendar for Central New York. The Showroom is the resort’s newly renovated intimate room — separate from the larger Event Center on the property — and it suits a production like ACROBAT’s well. Close sight lines, focused sound, a room that rewards a band whose value is in the details.
Verona sits roughly an hour west of Albany and an hour east of Syracuse, drawing from a wide swath of upstate New York for the right show.
Tickets & Pricing
Tickets start at $83.00 and are available through Ticketmaster. Turning Stone advises purchasing through official channels only — tickets acquired via third-party platforms carry fraud risk. The show is all ages.
