The distinction matters, even if most audiences don’t stop to make it: Bad Co. Legacy is not a group of capable musicians approximating Bad Company from a safe remove. Robert Hart spent seven years as the band’s lead vocalist. Dave “Bucket” Colwell played guitar in that band for twelve. When they step onto the Bears Den stage at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino on Saturday, March 20, they are not paying tribute — they are performing a catalog they helped record, with the road miles to prove they can still deliver it.
About the Show
Hart and Colwell joined Bad Company in the early 1990s, contributing to the band’s later studio period, including Company of Strangers (1995), self-produced by the band, and Stories Told and Untold (1996). The original group came together in London in 1973 from the ranks of some of rock’s more usefully credentialed bands: Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke from Free, Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hoople, Boz Burrell from King Crimson. The band sold 20 million RIAA-certified albums domestically and 40 million worldwide, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. What Bad Co. Legacy carries forward is the catalog from that run: “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy,” and “Shooting Star” are among the signature songs on a given night. Before Bad Company, Colwell had production and recording work with Humble Pie to his name; both he and Hart have also performed with The Jones Gang alongside Kenny Jones of The Faces, and Hart currently works with Manfred Mann’s Earthband. The current lineup includes Chris Childs on bass (formerly of Thunder and Tyketto) and John Lingwood on drums, also of Manfred Mann’s Earthband. The group has opened for Bon Jovi and Damn Yankees on major tours and has maintained an active schedule, logging a 16-date U.S. run in August 2026 and a stretch of German dates across January and February 2027 before this March stop in western New York.

The Bears Den is the club room inside Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino at 310 4th St. in Niagara Falls, in the western New York market that sees relatively few stops from acts working an international touring schedule. The show begins at 8 p.m.
