Justin Furstenfeld’s description of Foiled is characteristically unguarded: “It’s fucking beauty. It’s gorgeous. It’s timeless.” Twenty years after that album cracked the Billboard Rock Chart Top 10 and earned RIAA Platinum certification — and after everything that followed its making and release — Blue October is playing it front to back every night.
About the Show
The Foiled 20th Anniversary World Tour is a 37-city North American campaign running October 22 through December 19, 2026, with the full album performed in sequence at every stop, plus additional fan favorites. Furstenfeld framed the mission plainly: “Let’s show and remind everyone just how special and eclectic that album is.” The band, he added, “wore our heart on our sleeve for it.”
Foiled, 14 tracks written primarily by Furstenfeld and produced with Dave Castel, came out in 2006 when Blue October had already been dropped from Universal Records and was building from scratch. The album, which blends deeply confessional lyrics with soaring melodies and addresses depression, addiction, and mental illness without flinching, became the breakthrough the band had worked toward: Billboard Rock Chart Top 10, RIAA Platinum certification, and singles “Hate Me” and “Into the Ocean” that turned a Houston act into something considerably larger.
What followed was not uncomplicated. Furstenfeld’s addiction deepened through the album cycle and beyond, eventually derailing tours and fracturing the band. He entered rehab in May 2012. His recovery is the subject of the 2020 documentary Get Back Up, and the full lineup — Jeremy Furstenfeld on drums, Ryan Delahoussaye on multi-instruments, Matt Noveskey on bass, Will Knaak on lead guitar — has stayed together ever since. The band’s catalog has since crossed one billion streams.
Playing Foiled front to back in 2026 is not a nostalgia exercise. It is a band revisiting the album that defined them, written by a man who nearly didn’t survive what came after.

The Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda seats 1,100, intimate enough for Foiled‘s confessional weight to land at a human scale rather than get swallowed by something larger. Doors at 7:00 p.m., show at 8:00 p.m. Age restriction: 16+ (under 16 with an adult).
