Caligula Blushed at Buffalo Iron Works | June 5, 2026

By Rachel Torrey · April 7, 2026

The Queen Is Still Dead Tour makes its Buffalo stop on Friday, June 5, and if you have ever thrown a rose toward a stage or mouthed every word to “How Soon Is Now?” in the dark, this is your Friday night. Caligula Blushed — billed as the most authentic Smiths and Morrissey tribute act currently touring the U.S. — hits Buffalo Iron Works at 8 PM.

About Caligula Blushed

This is not a tribute band coasting on the catalog. Lead vocalist Chris “Quinn” witnessed The Smiths on their 1985 Meat Is Murder tour, and he built Caligula Blushed around faithful recreation of that era’s performances. The band — Quinn on vocals, Craig Gildner on guitar, Stephen Brusca on bass and backing vocals, and Steven Snyder on drums — delivers a comprehensive concert experience: music, stage antics, costume changes, and projection visuals.

These Subtle Sounds caught them live and put it plainly: “Fans sang along to every song. They tossed roses onto the stage, and reached out for just a touch from the hand of the man they came to see.”

Expect roughly an hour and 45 minutes covering songs like “This Charming Man,” “How Soon Is Now?,” “Ask,” “Bigmouth Strikes Again,” “Suedehead,” “Everyday Is Like Sunday,” and “First of the Gang to Die.”

About Buffalo Iron Works

Buffalo Iron Works is a reliable stop on the Western New York touring circuit — a club room that suits the intimacy of this kind of show. Worth noting: the Queen Is Still Dead Tour also hits Montage Music Hall in Rochester the following night (June 6), but Buffalo gets it first.
