Town Ballroom is one of those Buffalo rooms where the standing-room setup does exactly what it is supposed to — it closes the distance between the artist and the crowd in a way a seated venue simply cannot replicate. For a rapper like Chris Webby, who is known for diving into crowds and staying until the last fan gets a meet-and-greet, a 1,000-person floor feels exactly right.
Doors open at 7 PM on Thursday, June 18. A few things worth knowing before you head out: this is an ages 12+ show, and anyone under 16 needs a parent or guardian along. Government-issued ID is required at the door.
About Chris Webby
Chris Webby — born Christian Walcott Webster in Norwalk, Connecticut — built his name the independent way: mixtapes, relentless touring, and a fanbase that grew one DatPiff download at a time. He has been hitting the road hard for years, sometimes crossing 100 shows in a single year, and his live reputation is built on exactly that kind of commitment — high energy, sharp lyricism, and a crowd connection that comes from treating every show like an extended conversation with the people who showed up.
His style is rooted in technical hip-hop: dense wordplay, fast flows, and pop culture references spanning comic books to video games, with influences running from Eminem and Wu-Tang Clan to J. Cole and Mac Miller. His 2014 debut studio album Chemically Imbalanced reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and featured collaborations with Tech N9ne, B-Real, and Talib Kweli. He has kept building on his own terms through his independent label EightyHD Music ever since, with recent projects including Metafreeverse and In My Baggie, plus singles “Thunder” and “Condition” from late 2023.
The Buffalo date is part of a June 2026 run taking him through the Northeast and into Canada. Support comes from Spose and Quake Matthews.
