Def Leppard arrives at Centre Bell on March 5 carrying four decades of arena-rock certainty and, if Joe Elliott is being straight with the press, the rough draft of two new albums assembled during the band’s third sold-out Caesars Palace residency in Las Vegas. That is the context for the 2027 North American tour: a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act that has just completed sold-out runs in Europe, South America, and Mexico, arriving in Montreal apparently not coasting on catalog but still actively building it.
About the Show
The Montreal stop is part of a 45-date run that opens March 2 in Allentown, Pennsylvania and closes July 2 in Indianapolis. Goo Goo Dolls join as co-headliners — four-time Grammy-nominated and the holders of what the radio industry recognizes as the all-time record for Most Top 10 Singles, a distinction built on the sustained pull of “Iris,” their diamond-certified signature song, which has cleared 6 billion global streams, including more than 1 billion in 2025 alone. The Struts, the British rock band, appear throughout the tour as special guests.
Def Leppard’s most recent studio album is Diamond Star Halos (2023). A new box set, Volume 4, arrives November 13. Phil Collen framed the band’s current creative approach: “What we’ve been doing now…we always wanted to be Queen. What Queen would do, you know.” Elliott described the new material plainly: “We’ve kind of got nearly two albums. We’re gonna pick and choose which 10 or 11 we think are the right ones.” A new studio album is expected in 2027. Their Greatest Hits compilation debuted in the UK Top 10.
One dollar from each ticket sold will benefit City of Hope, the cancer research and treatment organization.
