Deke Dickerson is the kind of guitarist who makes other guitarists stop mid-sentence. He won the Ameripolitan Music Award for Musician of the Year in 2019, contributes regularly to Guitar Player magazine, and plays a signature double-neck guitar — a trademark move inspired by 1950s country legends Joe Maphis and Larry Collins. The band name itself is a pun on the Ecco-Fonic, a vintage tape echo unit manufactured in Los Angeles in the 1950s. That level of gear nerdery tells you exactly who you are dealing with.
