Five Finger Death Punch set the record for consecutive number ones in the history of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart — 13 straight — and now founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory says the new album is “heavier than anything we’ve done in years, with a cinematic undertone running beneath it.” Twenty years in, and they’re still pushing.
About the Show
FFDP formed in Las Vegas in 2005. “In the beginning, people were telling us we’re not going to last six months,” Bathory has said. They answered by putting out nine consecutive studio albums since 2007, seven earning Gold or Platinum RIAA certification, accumulating over 15 billion global streams and 18 Active Rock number ones along the way. The 20th Anniversary World Tour is a 48-city North American run that opened July 20 in Camden, N.J., and closes October 23 in Bristow, Va. The Montréal date at Centre Bell on August 1 brings support from Cody Jinks, a platinum-certified outlaw country artist, and Eva Under Fire, a hard rock band out of Detroit — wider sonic terrain than the standard metal double bill.
The band arrives off their 2026 re-recorded greatest-hits project: two volumes featuring new collaborations with Maria Brink and BABYMETAL. Their May 2026 single “Eye of the Storm” is the first preview of a 10th studio album expected this fall — the first proper FFDP record since AfterLife in 2022. Bathory says the new material reconnects with the aggression of the band’s early sound while pushing the production into what he calls cinematic territory; they reportedly wrote close to 30 songs before settling on 14 or 15, at one point weighing a double album. Beyond the chart records, FFDP has donated more than $1 million to causes supporting military veterans, first responders, suicide prevention, and youth homelessness.
