Jason Aldean at Empower FCU Amphitheater | September 18, 2026

By Nate Calloway · April 30, 2026

Jason Aldean arrives in Syracuse this September on the Songs About Us Tour — a stadium-caliber production from an artist who has spent two decades building one of country music’s most reliably sold-out touring operations. The September 18 date at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater is not a drive-by; it is the kind of show Aldean’s Central New York fanbase has been circling on the calendar since the on-sale dropped.

About Jason Aldean

From Macon, Georgia, Aldean broke through in 2005 with “Hicktown” and spent the better part of the next two decades stacking hits with a formula that blends traditional country structure with rock production values — and, on occasion, rap crossovers. “Dirt Road Anthem” remains one of the genre’s stranger chart successes: a song that had no business working as broadly as it did, and yet. The ACM crowned him Entertainer of the Year three consecutive times, 2016 through 2018, and the Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award in 2019 ratified what the touring numbers had already made clear.

In 2023, “Try That In A Small Town” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — his first chart-topper on that ranking — and arrived with the kind of cultural noise that reminded the industry Aldean still knows how to generate a headline, for better or worse depending on where you stand.

Songs About Us, his April 2026 release, is a 20-track effort led by “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” which hit No. 1, and followed by the current single “Don’t Tell On Me.” The new record gives this tour a present-tense reason to exist beyond catalog service — though Aldean’s back catalog runs deep enough that the Syracuse crowd will know most of the set regardless. Support acts have not been announced at time of publication.

About the Venue

The Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater sits along Onondaga Lake at Lakeview, part of the Oncenter complex in Syracuse. The outdoor venue holds 6,500 — large enough to feel like a genuine event, compact enough that there isn’t a bad position on the grounds. For an artist of Aldean’s draw, it’s a well-matched room. September in Central New York tends to cooperate with outdoor shows, which is one more reason this particular date works.
