Fifteen years into their run, Kingdom of Giants play their metalcore like it still matters which side of the pit you end up on. The California six-piece (fronted by Dana Willax, built on the collision of heavy guitars, electronic textures, and melodic passages) brings the Respawn Fall Tour to Empire Underground on Friday, November 27. Deadlands, Holy Wars, and Night Rider are all confirmed for the Albany date. Four bands, 500 capacity.
About the Show
The tour runs 24 dates from November 14 through December 18, threading through mid-sized clubs across North America and into Canada. The routing has the band playing Cleveland on November 25 before Albany on November 27, then into Toronto and Montreal. Deadlands serves as direct support; Holy Wars and Night Rider complete the bill. All three are on for this show.
New material frames the run. Earlier in 2026, the band released “Respawn” and “Burning Chrome” as singles, then dropped “The Edge of a Dream” on August 4 with a music video. Willax described the track as exploring “the unfortunate tension of craving rest but being unable to surrender to it.” The tour takes its name from the “Respawn” single, pulling together a stretch of output from the past year.
Kingdom of Giants has been building since 2011. The catalog runs from the Abominable EP through Ground Culture in 2014 (produced by Andreas Magnusson, who has worked with Haste the Day and Fit for a King) to All the Hell You’ve Got to Spare in 2017, Passenger in 2020, and 2024’s Bleeding Star EP on Sharptone Records, produced by Daniel Braunstein, who has also worked with Spiritbox, Dayseeker, and Volumes. “Wasted Space” has accumulated over 4.3 million Spotify streams. This band has built an actual audience.
Venue & Logistics
Empire Underground at 93 N Pearl St in Albany holds 500. For a four-band metalcore bill this deep into a fall tour, that is exactly the right size — close enough to feel every stage change, loud enough to warrant earplugs you will probably forget. It sits within the Capital Region live music circuit, and it is the kind of room where this kind of show earns its reputation.
