Pearl Street in downtown Albany, head downstairs, and find yourself in a room designed around one idea — put the band and the audience as close together as possible. At 350 capacity, this is the kind of intimate club show where you can see the pick hitting the strings.

About Lynch Mob
Lynch Mob — formed in 1989 when Lynch departed Dokken — is rolling through Albany on Saturday, October 3, as part of The Mr. Scary Massacre tour. Show time is 6:45 PM. Lynch is a four-decade guitarist with more than fifty albums to his name, a Grammy nomination, and a spot at #10 on Gibson’s Top 10 Metal Guitarists. He does not sound like someone who should be playing rooms this size anymore, which is exactly why this is worth showing up for.
The band’s debut, Wicked Sensation (1990), went gold and established Lynch Mob as more than a Dokken footnote. The decades since have been relentless: solo records, supergroup work with KXM and T&N, and a steady run of Lynch Mob releases. Their ninth studio album, Dancing With The Devil, came out in November 2025; the live album The Final Ride followed in May 2026 — what Lynch called “loud, raw, and exactly how it was meant to be heard.”
He also announced a farewell tour, then reversed course with characteristic candor: “Well, I lied. I changed my mind. I’m sorry. Sue me.” Albany lands in the middle of a four-stop northeast stretch — off Salisbury, MA on October 1, then Annapolis, MD and Leesburg, VA the following week.

Live Lynch Mob sets have featured a full Dokken encore, and in a tight underground room in downtown Albany, that is going to feel like a private show. Empire Underground is a basement-level club at 93 N. Pearl Street, designed to close the distance between stage and floor — described by the venue itself as the place “what music dreams are made of.” It is a room that rewards getting there on time.
