Mo Lowda & the Humble at Buffalo Iron Works | May 1, 2026
Mo Lowda & the Humble are one of those bands that rewards the people who make the drive. The Philadelphia trio — Jordan Caiola on vocals, Shane Woods on drums, and Nate Matulis on bass — play the kind of show where the room gets quiet and then loud and then quiet again, and by the end you are not entirely sure how you got there. It is a good feeling.
They are stopping at Buffalo Iron Works on Friday, May 1, as part of their Tailing the Ghost Tour — a 29-date run behind their most recent album, which dropped last June. The record has the same push-pull energy they are known for live: moments of overdriven noise that open into something lighter and more melodic, anchored by a rhythm section with real funk in it. If you have a frame of reference for bands like My Morning Jacket or Mt. Joy doing that trick in a club, you know what you are in for. If you do not, this is a good place to start.
Caiola has been writing and touring with this band since their debut came out on Temple University’s Bell Tower Records in 2013. In the years since, they have played rooms like the 9:30 Club in DC and Le Poisson Rouge in New York — which is to say they have been doing this long enough to know how to fill a room.
Opening the night is Lost Mary, an indie folk act whose single “Carry the Weight” came out in February. Genre-wise it is a solid pairing — expect the kind of set where the opening act earns its spot.
