Mon Laferte built Femme Fatale around the sound of a late-night club: jazz arrangements, bolero undertones, and a theatrical atmosphere she described as deliberately “nocturnal” and “melancholic.” On Friday, July 24, she opens the entire 28-date North American tour at Place Bell in Laval — the first stop of a run that won’t wrap until November.

Femme Fatale is Mon Laferte’s most recent studio album, and she put her intent plainly: “I wanted to take [the album] into the world of jazz so that it could sound nocturnal, so it could sound melancholic.” The record features collaborations with Natalia Lafourcade and Silvana Estrada. Rolling Stone described the album’s scope as exploring feminine power across every register — “sometimes sensual, glamorous, radiant, intimate, or public, but also chaotic, disheveled, unhinged, and decadent.” Consequence called the tour’s aesthetic “throwback” with a “noir sensibility,” likening the songs to music that “could play in a James Bond Film or fill a smoky, beatnik party.”
Alongside Femme Fatale, Mon Laferte released Spotify Sessions EQUAL Edition — a five-song live audiovisual EP recorded with an all-female instrumental ensemble as part of Spotify’s program supporting women in music.
Born in Viña del Mar, Chile, Mon Laferte achieved early recognition in her home country before settling in Mexico City. She is a five-time Latin Grammy winner whose sound, per her management bio, melds “indie and roots rock, blues, bolero, cumbia, ranchera, and electronic elements with Chilean folk traditions.” Live Nation describes her as “iconoclastic” and “fearless, genre-defying.” The New York Times called her work “infusing vintage styles with up-to-date feelings and a fierce attitude”; BBC Music described it as “intimate and courageous,” addressing “complex issues such as misogyny, repression, and injustice.” In 2025, she ranked as the most-listened-to Mexican artist on Spotify and sat among the platform’s top 500 artists globally.
No supporting act is listed. After the North American leg closes with two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the tour expands to Mexico, Central America, and South America.
